I know there are a few parts to the stock trifive power brake system. There's quite a large part protruding off the fire wall. If that's called a Bendix??, that's very expensive. You can get a rebuilt one and they want your core. Then there is a part fastened to the driver side inner front fender. Maybe this is the vacuum canister?? I don't think I would have an interest in a stock power brake system. I'd be looking for something more modern. Consolidate it. Clean up that area some. I've seen a few aftermarket power brake systems. They look fine to me, Carmine.

Carmine...if you make 12" of vacuum as alhewitt does with the same cam, you're golden! I have a '72 Camaro that makes ~11" of vacuum at idle (sometimes 10") and with a stock 9" vacuum booster my brakes are great!

Adding power brakes really isn't very hard. I'd suggest a dual 8" diaphram, a 1 1 1/8" dual master (Corvette C3 style), and that's really all ya need. Oh, you'll need the bracket that mounts the booster to the firewall too I guess. You could do this for ~$250 in my opinion.

Your other option is a hydroboost, but that's much more complicated and requires a power steering pump at the very least in addition to front discs.

I would add power front discs if I were you.
