Hi Darren. Thanks but Iím 2 hours south of you in Washougal. Looks like Iím going to replace the upper control arm for some caster and order some Viking coil overs 550lb and add a sway bar. Hope to be good to go after that. Happy to have you come by if you happen to be headed down this way to Portland for something!
In my opinion you have bump steer issue. This is caused by the wheels toe in or out when you hit a bump. The reason this happens is that you tie rods are not at the proper alignment with your lower control arms. There are several youtube videos on the subject.
I am working on my car now. I have all new front end with tubed A-arms, sway bar and rack and pinion. I have gotten the front end aligned but have the bump steer issue. Once I solve my issue I will report back, but your issue sounds just like the issue I am having. Dano
