OVERALL THE PANELS FIT REALLY WELL WITH THE EXCEPTION OF THE INNER COWL PANEL. AT THE FRONT BOTTOM CORNER WHERE IT IS SUPPOSED TO MATE WITH THE FLOOR AND TOE BOARD THE PANEL DIDN'T FLARE TO THE INSIDE WHERE THE FLOORBOARD WAS. IT WAS MADE WITH A FLARE THE SAM ALL THE WAY DOWN. IF I HAD NOT ALREADY MADE A SLIGHT NOTCH IN THE PANEL I WOULD HAVE RETURNED IT.

THE 2 HALF FLOOR PANELS LIKED ABOUT 1/2" OF MATING TOGETHER.

THE PANEL THAT I WAS REALLY CONCERNED ABOUT FITTING CORRECTLY WAS THE OUTER COWL PANEL AND THAT ONE WAS DEAD ON CORRECT.

I BOUGHT THESE FROM LMC SO BE FORE WARNED THAT ALTHOUGH THEY GOT A LOT OF BENDS AND OPENINGS CORRECT THEY ALSO HAVE A FEW SPOTS THAT JUST DO NOT FIT CORRECTLY. THE REASON I BOUGHT THESE PANELS FROM ONE SUPPLIER THINKING THAT THEY FIT AND WORK IF ALL WAS PURCHASED FROM THE SAME SUPPLIER. AT THE FLOOR BOARD AND INNER COWL PANEL I WILL HAVE TO PATCH IN A TRIANGLAR PIECE ABOUT 3" LONG.

THE NEXT STEP IS TO SPOT WELD THE OUTER COWL PANEL ON AND WITH THE INNER COWL SPACER OR WHEEL HOUSE EXTENSION PIECE OFF I WILL POR 15 THE INSIDE OF DOOR POST AND INNER AND OUTER COWL PANEL THAT WILL NOT BE ACCESSIBLE WHEN I PUT THE WHEEL HOUSE EXTENSION ON. SOME MAY THINK THIS IS OVERKILL BUT WITH THE HARD WORK THAT GOES INTO PUTTING THESE ON I WANT TO PROTECT AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE.
BARING AN ACCIDENT WHERE THESE WOULD HAVE TO BE REPLACED IN THE FUTURE I SHOULD BE DEAD AND GONE LONG BEFORE THESE RUST THRU LIKE THEY WERE.

GOT THE OUTER COWL PANEL SPOTTED AND WELDED THE 2 PIECES SOLID ALL THE WAY ROUND. HAD A LITTLE EQUIPMENT FAILURE THE WIRE WASN'T RUNNING CORRECTLY ON MY LINCOLN HAD TO REPLACE THE DRIVE ROLL. BUT ITS UP AND RUNNING NOW.

MOVED ON TO THE LEFT SIDE GOT THE FLOOR CUT OUT AND CLEANED UP ENOUGH TO FIT OTHER FLOOR PANEL. NOT REAL HAPPY WITH THE GAP BETWEEN THE 2 PANELS IN THE CENTER. LUCKILY I MEASURED AHEAD OF TIME AND LEFT 1 INCH OF MATERIAL OF ORIGINAL FLOOR TO COMPENSATE FOR THIS.

IF SOME POOR GUY WERE TO JUST CUT THE OLD FLOOR OUT BEFORE HE CAUGHT THIS IT WOULD NOT HAVE BEEN GOOD. LMC IS WHERE I BOUGHT THESE PANELS . THATS THE 3RD STRIKE THE FIRST WAS THE INNER COWL PANEL DID NOT FLARE OUT ENOUGH TO SEAL AT TOE BOARD. SEEING THE END FIT I WOULD NOT BUY THEM FROM LMC AGAIN. THEN THE INNER COWL PANEL DID NOT HAVE THE FRONT PIECE THAT IS BENT 90 DEGREES TO WRAP AROUND TO THE FRONT OF THE FIRE WALL. NOW THERE IS AN INCH GAP BETWEEN THE 2 PANELS IN THE MIDDLE. ALL ABOVE WILL BE MADE SO AS NOT TO SHOW BUT THEY TOTALLY FAIL FOR FIT.

I WILL POST PICTURES IF THE MISFIT AND SHOW PICTURES ON HOW I CORRECTED IT TO MAKE IT MORE PRESENTABLE.

ANY ONE ELSE OUT THERE HAD THIS PROBLEM WITH THE 2 PC FLOOR PANEL SET?

LOOK AT THE LEFT SIDE OF FLOORBOARD WHERE IT MEETS THE TOE BOARD.
THIS IS THE MISFIT AND I WILL HAVE TO INSERT A PATCH IN IT.

THIS IS THE MISFIT IN THE CENTER WHERE THE 2 PANELS MEET. AS I SAID EARLIER IF I HAD NOT DRY FIT THESE PANELS AND COMPENSATED FOR THIS IT WOULD NOT BE GOOD. MEASURE AND MEASURE AND MEASURE AGAIN BEFOR CUTTING YOUR FLOOR.
