Nobody needs a Tri-Five Chevrolet! They are a hobby/ luxury/ recreational item. To continue on harping over a few additional dollars for shipping as was previously said, is an embarrassment! If you don't want to buy from a company, then don't . That is your prerogative. But give it a break. If you can afford to own one of these classics, you can afford the shipping.
Thank you Bill from Danchuk for taking the time to explain the shipping options.
Who is still whining about about shipping cost?? We're collectively exploring an issue that might be important to some. Are we not allowed to do that?? You don't like to keep reading about it, that's your "prerogative". Then you should ignore it and move on. Yes, of course, we are all happy that there are many restoration parts available to feed our hobby. But that doesn't make it right to charge inflated prices for shipping. BTW, an embarrassment to who?
I just spent mega bucks for a '55 vert. I'm now looking at a '57 vert. Do you think I care for one moment about $9.00 difference in price for shipping between two different vendors?? I don't. I just don't like be taking advantage of. Perhaps, you do, Carmine.

Not sure how this happened, but if someone could move my comment above to its own thread, I would appreciate it. Thank you, Carmine.
Carmine, i don`t understand why it should be moved. He is replying to your thread and shipping cost concerns. Not just a random post by him.

I've been following his thread with the comments and … whatever. Interestingly I got a "generic" e-mail from Danchuk, and I imagine a bunch of you folks did also, that is essentially a quote of the response from Belairman 75 (Danchuk's man on the forum) of post #29.
Hopefully this quote will end up on their web site so all can profit from Carmine's beginning of the discussion.

That's OK Terry. Somehow my comment got incorporated into the quote itself. I don't think I started my thread far enough down. My fault. It's all good and answered. Thanks, Carmine.

I received the same e-mail from Danchuk. It was nice of them to take the time and explain further. Much appreciated.
Listen, I've said it before and it's worth repeating, I've never had a problem with Danchuk parts before, from what I recall. Like many here I'm sure, I've purchased a bunch of parts for all 3 of my trifives. I've never sent anything back so I must have been happy with their product. It's the shipping cost that I take exception to. I've never looked for a free lunch. Just want something fair and equitable for both of us. I have a difficult time rationalizing shipping cost, I guess, Carmine.

Censorship? Language was edited out. Not allowed, and it never has been. Plain and simple.

They gripe if we edit, they gripe if we delete. So most of the time we just delete the post.
