It was noted in another recent post that the idler arm asembly and the pitman arm should both be of the same type (power steering-power steering) or (manual steering-manual steering) together because as a set they offer improved alignment charactistics. Matched sets.
Stan...Seems to me like it would be hard to use a P/S pitman arm in place of a stock one...I guess some sort of ball could be bolted/welded to it:
