Wouldn't I want to go by the apprised value ?? This is a hard one to put a value on as there are really no other cars like this to go by other then what Rick Hendricks is selling his used inventory for.

Thanks for your input I will check out that company.

I have Hagerty on my Chevelle. All I had to do was send a few pictures and tell them what I thought the car was worth. It was a pretty high value as well and they did not question it. Fortunately I haven't needed to use it so I can't comment on that end of their business.

The appraisal will be done this week and will check with Hagerty Insurance ASAP.

Talked a shop in NC yesterday who buys and restores cars like this. He new a lot about the car and said it probably came from a driving and the engine should be around 650 horse.

By the pics I sent him he said it was a Authentic car and a clean piece. By the pics he could tell the rear clip was replaced but the center section and front clip were original along with the dash.

I am just going to do car shows and local events at NO CHARGE you can not make money with a car like this legally.

I have State Farm for all insurance, home, two pickups, one car, two motorcycles, and two collector cars. Had the same agent since 1970. They have been great on claims. Pretty sure they will not insure collector cars on a stand alone basis however.

Thanks Carl
Not every insurance company really wants to have any deals with '60 or older cars. Just when I have found one, the cheapest part could ever be broken ( Yeah, I'm talking about the engine). So when I got to the repairs, mechanic Told me that the gearbox is also needed replacement if I don't want to be stuck in the middle of nowhere. I have my Farmers Insurance now, but if have I asked them a month earlier asking newmexico-paydayloans.com for the help won't be so necessary. God bless America for having benefits for veterans. I also heard good reviews on Hagerty and American Collectors.

Have my '55 thru Hagerty, haven't had a claim, but have used their roadside towing. Nothing but great results. Got a e=mail from them acknowledging that I live in Northern Calif. and they are aware of the fires we're having and if I need their services they are here to help. I thought that was a pretty cool response from them. Have had State Farm for 30 years on my house and other cars, not a word.
