Reconsider where your engine is positioned. I have had both Hooker Super Comps and the Patriots with NO interference with pitman arms or steering gear or full size high torque stater. BTW did you see the pics that I posted per your request? Never heard back from you.

I have repeatedly said this but no one listens, a set of headers that work well at 2.25 forward may not work so well at 3/4 or vice versa.

Yup, the tightness of the bend of one tube in particular, the ultimate position when installed, is a make or break. The larger the tube aggravates the interference. But the Hookers that I used to have had no interference with the stock steering gear, the only issue was the drop of the collector. Mine had 1/8" skid plates added. They are only good for a stock or high front end.

Was able to move my fenderwell patriots where I wanted them, laid on floor marked my flange and collector then took measurements where I wanted to be and started heating and tweaking. Was able to move in 1.5Ē and up bit with ease

No rosebud just had a super rich flame and didnít pull the trigger Just kept it moving

Bolt the header to a steel work bench using all of the bolt holes.
Use a level on the vertical @ the collector & mark the bench @ the starting point, measure how far you want to move the header & mark.
Use a come-a-long & pull the collector. There is plenty of "tweak" available.

With 3/4s the collector is to close to the oil filter you need to address the oil temp. My oil temp was running 50* higher than coolant temp I fashioned an air baffle for the oil filter, oil temp now mimics coolant temp + 10 to 15 degrees warmer when dragging a trailer.

A remote oil filter is an option.

Going to cut it up today, I was thinking about heating it but I don't have anything sturdy enough to bolt it to.
Wish me luck!!

And my roomy steering area now.
The header flange lands underneath the pitman arm, I have around 2" of space
