I had requested a part from Hubbards Impala in May.....it was back ordered so I cancelled the order. Yesterday I get the part. So I called to explain the cancellation months ago. They had no record of me cancelling . They wanted me to pay return shipping but were "generous" enough to waive the restocking fee. I explained I am not paying for anything I did not order or the fees and shipping. Finally she is sending a return label but may charge the restocking fee. We will see about that too. I also explained that I was done with Hubbards. At Carlisle I bought some parts from their trailer. The parts had a price that matched their catalog .....but because there was a "price increase" each part was 2$ more . I argued the price is what is labeled ....not my fault your inventory was not updated. It was near closing time and I heard the fella mention more money for lunch. Sounded like a scam to me ....Bad business. I'll deal with Luttys .

This is really ******* me off...International shipping rates have went through the roof lately. Ebay was the place to make some decent deals with fair shipping but not anymore.
Heads up to Competition products, they actually cut boxes smaller to save on shipping costs...too bad they carry only high performance engine parts.
Jegs and Summit works ok too, they are not cheap by any means but no rip off either.

I found a pair of external oil filter hoses and connectors at Ecklers (on ebay) for a fairly decent buy it now price. Then I saw they wanted $17 to ship them. Now these are only about a foot long and are flexible enough to fold up and put in a USPS $8 flat rate box so I emailed them to ask if they would ship that way. They responded that I should buy them and ebay would calculate the shipping when I check out. So I have to commit to a purchase but then see what the shipping is? Ecklers are the ones who set the shipping, not ebay so if they can't be straightforward with me then I guess they don't need my business.
When in danger, when in doubt.
Run in circles, scream and shout.
Ecklers is a rip off for shipping. And their prices are higher than others to start with. Stay away from those that charge out of reasonable shipping rates. There are plenty of others without greed that will welcome your business, just shop around on line.
Buy from only fair suppliers that offer FREE shipping such as eBay, Summit, Jegs, and others. Most have a minimum to get free shipping so get all your stuff there.
I like free shipping and many eBay ads are such. Amazon is free on a lot of stuff too.
Try Rock Auto too.
IMHO the big name Corvette and Chevy vendors have high prices that can be beat elsewhere with less or free shipping to boot.
I only buy from Ecklers when they are the only place I can find a particular item. I look it up on the Ecklers website to get the part number. Then I check Amazon to see it if is available on there with "free" shipping. It is usually a few dollars more than what is on the Ecklers website, but it is still cheaper than their usual shipping cost. Plus it tells how many are in stock so you don't get back orders. And if they screw up you might get help from Amazon.
