It all boils down to horsepower. You can get an electric washer that makes 2500 psi, but it will not have any flow, and will be incredibly slow. Or you can get an electric that only makes 800 psi, but moves more flow. An electric is limited to about 1-1.5 hp, as that is all the power you can run off of a 110 volt circuit.

The horsepower limits the amount of work you can do, and there is no getting around that. Even a cheap gas washer is usually in the 5-7.5 horsepower range, so it is easy to see why there is such a difference. My neighbor was out using his Karcher pressure washer in the drive, and it was painful for me to watch. I have gotten so spoiled on gas washers, that there is no way in hell I could go to electric. It would be like trying to paint my house with a 2" paint brush!

We have 4 stroke driven water washer`s that are becoming popular with your electric one

I've got the Sun Joe also, works great for cleaning 40 years worth of gunk and oil off old Cub Cadet garden tractors. SO they can't be all that bad...
Plus, if I don't have a fuel can around here that's full, no sweat, plug the damn thing in the wall and go to cleaning.

Dragging the water hose and the pressure line is bad enough. Can't imagine pulling an electrical cord also.

I have a little electric snow shovel for my deck only and the cord is always in the way.

My Sun Joe has a 25' electric cord and a 15' pressure line so I don't have to drag anything around. I set it in the middle of my deck and can do everything in a 30' circle - bigger than the deck.

No matter what you get store it in out of the freezing temps or expect to by replacement parts. I've not been successful in getting all the water out when storing for winter.
