Default Another GOOD experience with Ecklers

I'm all for passing along 'bad experiences', but also for giving credit where credit is due.

I'm needing to replace the 4-leaf (too soft/low) springs in my 56 Nomad and I've been looking online and wherever the past few days for the best deal on some 'stock height' 5-leafs... I noticed they charge for weight/oversize/etc.. so before ordering from Ebay, I called them.

I spoke with Matt (I always write down the name of the person I speak with just in case I have an issue later) - I have never had issues when dealing with Ecklers and I buy from them for my Tri-Five(S) and for my Camaro... All my experiences have been good.

Today when I called, Matt was very good/helpful on the phone, after telling him their ebay price for the springs ($109 ea with free shipping), he told me he would ALWAYS beat their ebay price IF you called and spoke with them about it... Their price via their website was $99 ea plus shipping which probably would have been $40-50??

When it was all said and done, he sold me the pr of Springs for $179.98 (plus $19.99 shipping knocking off he OS charge) which made them $20 less than ordering thru ebay! While on the line, I also ordered new brake lines for the differential, new emergency brake cables for the diff, and spring perches (to convert the Nova 8.5 I bought for the '56 springs), AND.. he gave me my member discount for the parts and it will all ship together on Monday (all parts were in stock so he said). I should get them here in North Alabama by midweek!

so KUDOS to Ecklers... AND if any of this proves to not be true once I get the parts and see the total charge ($281.84)... I will UPDATE this post..

Heard so many bad things about them, so good to hear about a positive experience.
I have had both experiences with them.

If you are a CCCI member still, be sure to tell them... as it gets you an additional discount.. and (maybe?) a little better attention?

Have to say I've had very good experiences recently as well. I placed an order and the shipment was super fast and exact. Only issue was with a drop ship item and the supplier missed a 2nd item but quickly got it enroute. Laura at Ecklers was amazing as usual tracking down the culprit and solving the problem!!

CCCI is/was the Classic Chevy Club International.. the original CLUB that got SOLD by Doug Moorhead to a business, and then ultimately to Ecklers business group. They may have a different process now, may only be a 'magazine subscription'?? but..

They still are honoring my Lifetime membership in that club which I paid the first week it became available (in the late 70's or early 80's?) and all that it entails (magazine, and discounts), but I now have to pay to advertise in the magazine (that used to be included in the membership as well). I suspect the membership agreements were a part/parcel of the sales of the club into a 'business'..?

I bought almost my whole car off of them, and most of the time the items were good. (It's hard to blame them for a supplier's mistakes)

One thing about them, they are very polite and helpfull.
