Default BUMPERS ARE CRAP

Bought a set of bumpers for my 57 when the price was right. I unboxed them today and tried to put them together. worst pieces that I have purchased for this resto. the finish is dull, the metal prep has deep scratches that were chromed over, the stock brackets don't fit without heavy grinding on them. No one and I repeat no one is going to get a good word about them. I waited 5 months to get them and got a pile of excrement. I was under the impression that these were the best to get. Instead I got a set of imported bumpers that should be sold for scrap. THANKS A LOT.

Best to get originals and re chrome them. There should be no issues fitting the car. The only issue to select a plater that does a good job. Foreign stuff sucks.

Have contacted both the vendor and western star and was told by both, even though they haven't been installed yet, nothing we will do about it.

Still have the original bumpers but anyone around here in western NY wants 4 grand to do them.

Default Bumpers

I bought my '57 rear from Danchuk, didn't like one end and returned it for a replacement, no hassle.

I only purchase from suppliers who accept pay pal or american express. . That way I am protected.

I believe there have been numerous complaints about fits on 57 reproduction bumpers. My 55 bumpers were perfect for fit and finish
