For me I went with Steve (Jalapeno), he provided me with everything I needed and excellent Tech support when needed. For me the service is also part of the sale and made for a quick and easy install. I would go with him for all P/S parts and service.

Ca 'mon Bob...You've been around long enough not to believe that "bolt-in" stuff....Just for starters, how 'bout a shorter column....Plus the brackets, pulleys, pump, and hoses...Let me send you some install articles...So, you can review the installation procedures...Send me a PM with your email address, if you want to take a look at them.

Also, see this article:http://www.superchevy.com/how-to/cha...chevrolet-210/

Default which box???

The 600 is patterned after the old 605 conversion and the 500 after the real Saginaw box. The 605 and 600 boxes are called a metric box. I had some later 70s GM cars and one had a Saginaw box and it drove much better.

Uh, what?? Not trying to rain on your parade but most of what you just posted is a bit fuzzy, some of it is just plain incorrect.

Fact: the 670 is a Delphi gear made in USA and the 500 PS gear is based on a the Delphi gear and made in China. They both have the latest technology inside, the main difference is in how they achieve a bolt-in fit on a trifive.

The 605 is a Saginaw gear and is antiquated technology. The 605 also has an issue with poor sector cover design that causes a leak.

Reading every old post and new post on this site conditioned me for my LS swap. Every time I went cheap I spent two or more weeks making things fit. Control Arms are just one example. Motor mounts that allow you to slide the engine will help you clear the 500 pump these guys are recommending. This was a big deal for me. I had a quarter inch spacing after tightening the 2010 Camaro manifolds on the pic attached. I have built some older cars and trucks without the advantage of having a forum like this. It cost me more time and money. I owe this forum a big thank you for all the post I have read and hope I can contribute back what little I know from time to time. Keep reading in the LS section and weigh out all the different builds to suit your car. Good Luck

I had clearance issues with the Camaro manifolds also (engine mounted center), swapped to LSA manifolds, plenty of clearance (the second 'runner' is tighter to the block).
