The Trifive National ConventionThe Trifive National Convention, This area is for all the information about the First Trifive National Convention. AUGUST 14-15, 2015
Bowling Green, KY
John (seetheusa) and I have orchestrated a little meet and greet at the nationals for the last two years for those of us who had an interest in putting faces to the names around these parts.
We have generally used John's black 57 Belair Wagon as the meeting point for some handshaking, conversation, new and old acquaintance, and some RC Cola and Moon Pie ingesting. We have generally met up at like 5 p.m. or so Thursday night in the parking lot of the host hotel at John's wagon.
Had a pretty good turn out in 2017. Last year was less.
Happy to informally organize this but not sure if there is any interest for this year so I thought I would ask.
Also, any suggestions as to time and place if that is a concern to anyone.
My wife and I are planning on being there. We are staying across the street. Came last year without the 57. This year I am bringing the 57. Leaving Texas Wednesday morning early.See ya'll there.

That is the question. I like the informality of the parking lot myself but certainly open to other suggestions. Also how about the time? Earlier, say 3:30 or 4:00? I think there is a little drag racing under the lights thursday night and while I may wander down, I really like the parking lot scene thursday night where you get to meet a lot of new people and talk the talk, lol, and some of the the shenanigans that can sometimes go on, lol.
And yes, patrick and I are looking forward to seeing you and Jason, and all the others we have come to know and and be friends with at this show!
Looking forward to seeing everyone again. 5:00 is fine by me but whatever time works is ok. I suggest that everybody introduce themselves at the meet and greet so we get names to faces. I have been every year and still haven't met some of the folks.

I'll be up Saturday morning for the day .....

If the tent is available and we can find a patch of grass on a corner of the parking lot somewhere that might work.
The tent would be easier to find than a car, and provide shade.
But hey, if you find my wagon and the tailgate is down, then the party is on!
Weather permitting of course.
In the event of rain, the host hotel lobby is large enough to hold our little event.
When asked if they were going to be at the next Nationals, an anonymous attendee was overheard saying
" I'll be there, or my ashes will be."
Couldn't have said it better myself.
See you there!
