Just wanted to share a couple of pictures from a new video we are working on now featuring Danny Hansard's very unique 57 Chevy. Check out the blog and follow us on social media to see the video when it comes out.

That is the most "old school look" LS engine I've ever seen. Nice job! Who makes those script valve covers?

I know of two companies. Don Hardy Race Cars and Callies which is sold through Brian Tooley Racing and a few other vendors. Both are approximately $600.

The valve covers are priced that high, not because they are worth that much, but because they were manufactured the most expensive way possible, which is CNC machined out of a block of aluminum. They chose that method because there is no upfront investment for a die cast mold. Die cast molding them would have reduced the price by a lot. There would have been a secondary milling operation to true the gasket surface, and maybe some deburring of casting flash.
