I have headers on my ZZ4 and recommended spark plugs for this engine are AC Delco MR42LTS..... A few of these are so tight against the header tube that there is no chance of getting a socket on them... I know others have modified various wrenches/sockets but I'm thinking a quality compatible "shorty" sparkplug will likely be easier to install and get....
Anyone out there with a suggestion for a good alternate spark plug?
Hopefully, someone will help with a shorter alternative.
I just wanted to throw in the fact that on my ZZ4 I recently swapped out the GM recommended R42LTS (tapered seat) for the ADO-5 (Platinum) which are gasket/flat seats. The aluminum ZZ4 heads have flat seats for the plugs....not tapered. I have no idea why they recommend tapered seat plugs for flat seats.
Anyway, the Platinum - 5 plugs worked great if you can't find a short alternative.
