Hey everyone! Thank you all for the welcoming me. Im new to the forum scene so bare with me as i get in the habit of ritually checking this. I'm sure most of you know and have interacted on this forum with Joe Lutz from Hotrod Dynamics. Its because of him that I am now a member on this forum. I had recently completed the interior in a 56 convertible for him and hope to do many more projects for him. If you guys haven't had a chance to see his teams work in person, they are a truly talented group of guys. The fit and finish on Russ' 56 was perfect and the car in general was just beautifully done.
But to tell you a little about myself, I own an interior shop located in fairfax, SC. I moved here and opened this shop a little more than a year ago. Originally I'm from Maryland, but through the years i have moved around to a couple states learning and perfecting my craft, and making connections with others in the industry.
I look forward to getting to interact with y'all on this forum and hope to be able to provide some insight where you guys may have interior related questions aswell as show you guys the build process of some of my interiors.
If there is anything i can do to help, please don't hesitate to reach out and let me know!
That's some impressive appearing interior work, JB... I especially liked the '55 Nomad and the '56 convertible.
Curious: What is the purpose for the 'suitcase-appearing' unit in the Nomad cargo area? Hidden Storage? or is it removable from the car? or ? If hidden storage, are the straps to release the front cover reachable from the tailgate area without climbing onto the tailgate??

Thank you Bama! That 56 is definitely my favorite build so far. I love getting to use vintage cloth like that and it worked so well in that car.
The luggage in the rear is something i came up with to cover the battery and a subwoofer. Removal of it was real easy. The anchors at the bottom where the straps tie into, have long screws to hold them down. Back them out halfway and the whole luggage piece slides out giving the owner plenty of access to the battery and subwoofer box. The top of the luggage was held in by strong magnets.
I have a picture of it removed, so as soon as i find out how to post pictures on here ill post it for you

Thanks JB. 'One' of the 'utility' problems with the Nomad design is use of the cargo space due to the extreme sloping rear and long tailgate. Another is a lack of storage space to 'hide things' since there's no trunk, so I'm curious/interested in how that solution works for you and the owner.
If I can help you with posting photos, let me know. How I do it: I keep all my photos on my local computer (on a dedicated removable solid state drive). WHen I post one of them, I use the 'paperclip' (attachments function) which displays the photo from my computer. If you have your photos on a drive which has url access on the web, posting a photo is easier, but sometimes the photos becomes 'unusable/unaccessible' later (to wit, the photobucket issues of the last couple of years)...
