I have been reading and reading and I am still looking....
Do they make a full length header that does not hang below the frame that does not cost 4-500 dollars ?
I see that Williams makes a pair and that patriot makes some 3/4 headers however I am looking to see if there is anything out there that will work on a 55 that has been lowered 2 inches in the front and back....
right now im looking at the hooker headers 2458HKR
Any part numbers and help or what you can refer me to is greatly appreciated
Thank You all
Man, times have changed! In the 70's, you could buy Blackjack headers for $70 for whatever car you wanted! I had a set on my '57 when I sold it, and I think the ones on my tractor a friend GAVE me from his Chevelle.
I'm running Patriot 3/4s. Was previously running full length Hedmans but they hung far too low and I have now lowered the front about 3 1/2". Have heard that quality control is not the best with Patriots and some fit OK and some don't. I got lucky with mine and they fit OK. Had to make a slight squeeze on number 5 for clearance but otherwise OK.

My 55 is lowered 2" and I have Hooker full length headers and they are very low, only 3" off the ground. I think the 3/4 length would be a way to go.....Which is what I am looking at for my current 55 build.
I should note the headers I am referring to are 20 years old. The Hooker 2112 has been recommended to me.
