Starting today, March 24th our offices will temporarily close due to state issued “Stay at Home” orders from the Governor of Indiana, Eric Holcomb. As of today, we are one of 18 states under this type of order. These orders are not optional, they are not up for individual’s interpretation, and they are not meant to intentionally hurt people, our businesses or our economy. They are meant to slow the spread of a virus that is spreading wildly across our country and over 150 countries worldwide.
I have built Woody’s Hot Rodz over the past 18 years on the simple premise that I love old cars, especially our beloved 1955-1957 Chevys, and I always strived to share that love with my family, staff, and our customers. I have always understood that beyond my love of cars was my love of the people that make up the car community. They, as a whole, are a resilient group who always bounce back when things get tough, and I am confident this will be no exception.
Behind the shiny cars, the fun events, our magazine and the countless parts and bodies we sell are these folks. These people and those who couldn’t be here for this picture are the backbone of this company. They have families to care for, bills to pay, commitments to uphold and like you, they are dealing with this health and economic crisis this country has been thrown into over the past several weeks. And, like you, it is not their fault.
We will be away from the office until the Governor lifts the “Stay at Home” order which at this time is April 7th. We know that when we return, we will be fielding emails and calls from folks about postponed events, late parts orders, delayed projects and a whole list of other things. Please understand that we are going to do everything in our power to make up for the lost time and get back to normal. We ask for your patience while we get back on track. We know this is going to be hard on our suppliers, their suppliers, our customers and our people. I just ask that you consider others when working through your own frustrations. We are all in this together.
