Good to know Jim...

Found this on another search: https://www.hagertyagent.com/insuran...-car-insurance

I can live with these terms.

Flexible usage

Our policy allows occasional pleasure use with no fixed mileage restrictions.** With Hagerty, your client can go for a weekend drive, take their vehicle up to the local ice cream shop or attend unlimited events and cruises.

** Occasional pleasure use does not mean use for daily driving to and from work or school, routine shopping, etc.

I Have Hagerty on 2 cars on Long Island. One of the policies states the car is kept in the garage . I am allowed to take the car to work I believe twice a month. I have told them I do 5,000 miles a year . They don't need to ask you how much you drove, they can get that from your inspection. I don't have historical plates as sometimes there are restrictions like you have to be in a parade . I certainly don't need any red flags for the Police, the car has enough of them .

Good Luck Pops

I have J C Taylor insurance o my 3 classics. My agent recommended them because I wouldn't be restricted on mileage, just couldn't be a daily driver. We're retired now, but back when we first signed up, we were working. Only daily driver with regular insurance was wife's Tahoe. They balked, said we both had to have a daily driver. Agent went to bat for us, told them we own our business, both work same place, same hours, ride together to work, and they ok'd the insurance.
Now that we are retired, I agree that it could be had to argue that any driving isn't pleasure driving. Been tired of quarantine, so we broke out the 56 and went on a 275 cruise yesterday around Southern Arizona. We've put 15,000 miles on the 56 in 20 months, but have hardly used it in 2 months due to China flu.
Funny part of the insurance, when my son-in-law bought his first toy, a 1967 Chevelle wagon, as a roller, we titled it in my name, and I added it to my policy. No problem. Had it covered for $5000.00. After we rebuilt suspension, rewired the whole car, added disc brakes, 327/700R4........and a bunch of other stuff, our agent tried to get J C Taylor to insure it for him on his own policy for $5000, and they refused. It wasn't shiny. They already had it insured, just didn't realize it. Agent sent the same pics to Hagerty and they not only insured it, they complimented him on the work and nice engine compartment. Told him to keep up the good work.

I have had Hagerty Insurance on two of my vehicles for a number of years. Very nice service/claims reps and never any problems. I have had one claim in the past with them and there were no problems. They might be a little high on cost, but you get what you pay for. I donít carry the bare minimum on coverages either.

I have hagerty I like them, but they are the only classic car insurance that would insure me since I’m under 25.

I have Hagerty, even on my Porsche 996. They are cheaper than my regular carrier, and are willing to insure for agreed value, a major consideration that you may not get on a average everyday policy.
And yes, they always ask me about my "estimated yearly mileage" when opening a new policy, however, they have never checked in the 6 years and 3 cars I've had with them.
They do however always ask about my daily driver, and who it's insured with, my guess is that they want to make sure the " occasional use" car is just that, fair enough.
