Angry Do not use this company!

When you buy parts for your classic you do not always use them right away, it might take months. I purchased a rear quarter panel for my 57 4dr hardtop from Ecklers and not only did it take extensive rebuilding, the crown holes on top were not even straight and half of them had to be filled and new ones cut out! Of course it was months past their return policy, and they refused to do anything, even after escalating it. No offer of any discount on future purchases. My body shop charged hundreds extra for all the work needed to make it fit the car (the car was never hit, just rusted). So after years and many thousands of $, they will lose me as a customer, just as I need all new bumpers, all glass, and all trim. Smart move on their side? Just shows how clueless they are.

Sorry for your troubles. Ecklers does not make anything they sell. The only sell what others make, and usually have no idea how it will fit.

There have been many threads on this site about this.

I would not blame Ecklers for this. If you're well past the date of sale, that's your problem. I do understand that many parts are not used right away.

The other half of this is you used the part rather than returning it. No vendor is going to give you relief in that situation, and rightly so.

Another situation is that what you have might be what you get from any source. Do you know who made the panel?

While I agree with some of what you are saying I don't think it is a good idea to make excuses for a company that clearly has no clue what customer service is. I spend many thousands of dollars every year on Trifive parts for vehicles that come through my shop, Personally I would never spend a dime with them and have not for over a decade specifically for their clear lack of customer service. They have NO CLUE and don't care either.

If I bought all my parts as I needed them and ignored things on sale, then I would be wasting a lot of money. The shop that put on the panel should have red-flagged it from the get go, I agree, but they just started putting it on, and soon it was too late, and the misalignment was evident at that point. They are now out of business. Ecklers said if I had returned it before alteration, it would be $250 shipping from Florida to Washington again, on me. I will never use them again, my only way to vote here. It just amazes me that they would treat a regular customer that way. Thanks for your comments.

Yes they are losing out on all the sales I would have given them in the future, but I am just one customer, who cares about that? We need more people like you, in the business and aware of their misdeeds. Thanks

Default Eeck Leers Catalog

Just received the new Ecklers Wish book in the mail this week.
Just decided to place it in the recycle Trash Bin.
Thanks for the Warning Guys.
I have ordered several parts in the past and was very disappointed when I opened the packages.
2 Side View Mirrors that look like Cheap Chrome Plated Crap!
A Rear View Mirror that Stated "Original Replacement"! Not Even Close, More Chrome Crap!
Well past the Return Deadline and I will never use them. Waste of my Money!

Danchuk is within driving distance. I need to order the latest Catalog.

Obviously about the money and not about the cars. Thanks for your comment.

Glad you turned from the dark side. I see they are displayed on the top here as one of the advertisers. What is with that I wonder? Is anyone from the TriFive organization paying attention to all the negatives here?
