Default Struggling with accessory brackets

My project car came with alternator and power steering pump bracket but I donít love the setup. Iím not looking for anything fancy more clean and simple. I need alternator, power steering pump and ac compressor (sanden 508). None of my accessories have serpentine pulleys. My crank pulley is a double pulley. Currently my alternator bracket mounts to the header which I donít like at all. I prefer everything mount to the front of the motor. I donít necessarily like the ďstreet rodĒ type brackets that mount alt and Ac compressor way up high. I need a short water pump due to space constraints.

What are you guys using?

What engine do you have?..Do the heads have accessory bolt holes?

ALAN Grove has a lot of good bracket choices: http://www.alangrovecomponents.com/

If you do take a look at the Alan Grove brackets one good thing he lists the correct pulleys needed to work with his brackets so no guess work Iíve used them on a couple of my builds & a 71 Chevelle I did last summer for a customer I had them & mine powder coated looked good Not anything fancy but function well also donít cost a fortune

Gen 1 SBC. ALAN Grove brackets seem to all use the exhaust bolts for support. Iím trying to avoid that if possible.

Did your brackets also mount to the headers? I prefer to not add brackets to the exhaust. If I donít have to. Just a pet peeve. I donít like transmission fluid in the radiator and I donít like alt and ac brackets mounted to the headers. I will if I have to, but prefer not to.

With a short water pump there is not enough room to mount an alternator to the head. You have to do something else. Same with the a/c compressor.

That's the advantage of the long water pump and it's why they made it longer.

I donít think I have space for a long pump. I only have 2 inches from pump to radiator now.
