Got word back the block is good! They will have to bore it out to either .030 or .040. He has a crank, rods, 62cc heads, and oil pump for it. I just have to get the caps to him to set up. I should know next week if the caps will work fine.

Now to start selecting a piston / cam / intake combo. Suggestions? I'm looking for 300-350 HP.

I sure hope you don't sink any money in that block until you find out the main caps you have will work. My machinist have always said you must at least have original #5 or a block is scrap.

I won’t, but these guys have done a couple of 327’s with missing caps. They’ve either found a good set or used a set from scrap 283’s. All I will pay for at this point is for is a hot tanking and magnafluxing
