Default *Tire and wheel size.

I want to purchase a set of Cragar Wheels for my 56. Front wheels are spaced outward 7/8 for the disc brakes, otherwise front is stock. Rear is also stock. I've tried the wheel calculator but cant seem to get the front to work out. I want to put a 235/70/15 on the rear and a 215 225/70/15 on the front using six inch wheels front and rear. Anyone have experience with this and will it work? I know another tire question but I wanted to ask for advice before I went and spent the money. The wheels I am looking at are 15 X 6 with 3.250 bs with -6mm offset or maybe a 15 X 7 with 4.0 bs wth 0 offset , but is was a little tight on the rear per calculator.

Please help me out.

The ride height is going to determine what will clear. If you keep it at stock height the fronts should be okay. If they rub its going to be at the fender lip since they are spaced out so far. Do you have any wheels on it now to measure off of to see how much clearance you have?

The rears should fit with either wheels, but the 7" would be preferred with 0 offset and the fact that a 235 is too wide for a 6" wheel.

If it's a choice between 15x6 or 15x7 I see no benefits of the 6"

My stock spindled disk brake equipped 56 has 15x6 wheels with 225/70/15s, have stock 15x6 Vette rallys and Torque Thrust Ds in 15x6. No issues with the 7/8 outward thing.
