Default ** COMPLAINT!

I spent nearly 5 years building a gorgeous 55 2 door sedan restomod. And I can honestly say I don't think it would have been possible without the generous help of the combined hundreds of years of experience available from the people here on this forum.

I have limited time, but I would like to both share my experience in areas where I have it, and the process of building my car.

Here's my complaint: I would have done a LOT MORE OF THAT over the past 5 years if this site wasn't so clunky to use! In the year 2019, "drag and drop" should be a given! Instead I have to go thru an MS-DOS quality, antiquated process of making sure my pics are the right size then pray that they will be inserted into a post...which happens properly maybe 50% of the time.

When I make an album, often times my pics end up sideways or upside down when I KNOW they weren't like that prior to saving to the forum. ***?

I'm not looking for people to point me at the info about how to go thru the PITA and time-consuming process of doing this stuff, I have already done it all, with varying degrees of success. I am looking for a real solution.

I'm guessing some people won't like this, but I already pay to support this site....and I would pay a modest amount "more" to see it upgraded. I wonder how many others are out there - like me - who have advice and info to offer based on their build experience but are facing the same frustrations?

That's it for now!

the company that bought this site as well as a bunch of other car sites is in it strictly for the profit and run the sites as lean as they possibly can to max the profits, while I understand the concept of what they are doing , AG has destroyed several once great sites with this business model, they refuse to upgrade anything unless there is a buck to be made, several sites that have old threads that are very popular and draw lots of hits are being closed.......they put admins from AG on sites that are car related but the admin has zero interest or knowledge so they could care less about the site.....

I have never experienced any issue with posting pictures on this site, ever. Never cropped a photo. Never posted any that appeared sideways either. Only a few times I reached a limit. Just added a 'reply' and added the remaining photos. I am not a paying member.

I totally agree with ya. I have given up a lot of times trying post with pictures, what a pain, keeps telling me there to big, What. With Today's technology the site should be more user friendly.

Having spent my entire career running a business with Micro Soft based PCs, I finally saw the light and relagated such cumbersum technology to the dark closet. Ipad is all i need and it interfaces well w/ most sights including this one.

Problems with upside down and sideways photos are usually due to taking photos with a phone. On an Apple phone you have to take the photo with the button oriented to the right if you want to show it landscape mode on the site, and with it at the bottom if you want to show it portrait mode on the site. I'm sure there's ways around that and ways to fix it if it's not that way, but that's what you get if you do the minimum. Hope that makes some sense.

First thing is why are you paying for this forum? That was set up before Otis sold it to a corporation to help offset server costs. Should have been done away with when sale occurred but I guess greed allowed it to stay

The rest of it I agree with you about and thatís why I seldom come to the website and when I do itís through Tapatalk.
