Seems like I've heard two potential problems with those.
1. They won't lie flat enough on the inner door structure to allow a flat upholstery panel without modifying the structure.
2. If you cut on the inner door structure enough for them to fit, then they may interfere with the window mechanism.
Can anyone offer comment or solutions to this?
Rick, When I installed power window crank switches in my 57, I didn't need to cut the inner door structure. I cut aluminum plates to fit the crank areas, mounted the crank switches to the plates with countersunk screws (see pics below: upper image for rear window, lower image for front window (no idea why the front window image rotated 90 deg CCW. when I uploaded to the TriFive album)). I had no interference issues with the window mechanisms. Regards, Doug
