Default Brace or not

Hello, new here and have seen differing opinions on trunk floor replacement.. on other sites...the new 57 2 door sedan I just got came with a Classic Industries trunk floorpan / mini tub kit...
It appears I will have to raise the body enough to install it from the bottom? Or remove the tub from the frame.... some have mentioned bracing the tub so the qtrs don’t sag, others say you don’t need to on a POST car...those who have done it please run me through the procedure.... car is now just the tub and doors.... so lifting off frame would just be steering and 12 bolts... thank you

I have mini-tubbed several sedans and a couple hard tops there is no need for bracing when just doing the tubs and trunk floor. I cut out the old stuff, jack up body, slip in floor, set body back down, fit and weld in floor, then put in the tubs.

My thought on quarters sagging is that they will do that over time if there's lots of rust damage in that area - or a bad repair. Look for that already being there. If half solid they shouldn't sag during your repair. If there's a problem then that's another repair to do.

Put the trunk lid on and line it up to the quarters and tail pan best you can before cutting anything off. Then use it to align the new tail pan and tail pan brace, which is probably part of your repair. Use tack welds or sheet metal screws to hold everything together and check alignment of the new pieces. Then finish weld, partial disassembly required.

the trunk floor is very solid , but someone did a poor weld job on the spare tire delete patch, then drilled a few holes here and there over the years , then sprayed a bunch of undercoat on it .... i told the previous owner I was going to mini tub it , and he told me he already had the complete trunk floor mini tub kit , he was planning on doing , but never did ... he had already paid $1100.00 for the panel kit so I might as well use it ...

so no rust sag now , so I should be ok then , thank you guys for your help... ....
