Had to use the old frame to mount the floor board on my Nomad project because we couldn't use the new frame as we were trying to finish mounting the transmission.
Just about all the sheet metal has been welded on except for the repairs on the roof.
Looking at the old frame vs the new frame...what a diff!

you should wait and do the floors on the new frame. that way you don't get into a shim here shim there to get it to sit right on the new frame. . especially since the old frame was a hatchet job. no need to rush here. a little patience would make for a lot less work later
It matched up nicely to the floorboard. Firewall has the toe boards included on it. The fab shop will be installing the outer vent enclosures this week. They go on the body right next to each side of the firewall. I am also buying new door hinges. I didn't for my two 56's and I regret it.
Bob,
Good idea. I also have a rebuilt frame for the '49 Olds project. Where is the most popular location on the frame? I read somewhere that beneath the driver section is common.

Sides are done, floor is done, firewall is near done. Still mounted on old frame, but new frame and drive train almost complete...picture it!
