Bought it rough, plan to keep it rough!
April 1, 2007 -- My 57 is getting more and more like a burden. After working on my brakes for what seems like an eternity, I still have brake issues. After rebuilding my carb, I still have carb issues. I now have a fuel pump that I think has gone bad -- need to replace it just so I can pull the car back into the garage. It's stuck in the driveway right now.
April 3, 2007 -- I have a new/rebuit carb and a fuel pump ordered. I'm hoping to drain the gas tank and replace the fuel line before I install them.
April 5, 2007 -- Replaced the fuel filter and found out that I can get all the fuel line that I need from NAPA. Now I have to measure the line to see how much I need.
April 27-30, 2007 -- Finally got the car back into the garage after replacing the fuel pump and using a pepsi can as a temporary gas tank. Now I have the fuel line removed and the gas tank drained. Still need to take out the sending unit.
Replaced the entire fuel system, from carb to tank to filler tube.
Replaced motor (transmission) mounts and backed it out of the garage! Yipeee!!!!
