This 1955 Chevrolet Del Ray was found in Villa Park, Ca, several years ago sitting in a backyard, the car was complete and the odometer showed a little over 47,000 miles. The Car was purchased and stored in a warehouse for several years. In 2009 the car was brought back to life! A new master cylinder, fuel pump, gas tank and new tires were installed along with a new belt and hoses, radiator and water pump. The generator and carburetor were also rebuilt, and this car currently sits as it was found. From what we can see this car is original and the odometer is correct. It will be treated to a frame off restoration at some point in the future currently this is an original survivor 1955 Chevrolet Del Ray. In June of 2010 it made it maiden voyage to Las Vegas all under it own power and got 16.7 mpg. We feel that it has right prominence and patina and while it may look like crap it runs and drives like a dream. Remember LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO NOT LAUGH AND ENJOY IT!
