Purchased new by my father.
Mods: Note: Every original part or assembly removed from this car is packaged and stored. The only original part missing is the short block, discarded circa 1959. The car originally came with a 265 2bbl single exhaust, Powerglide, 3.55 rear.
Engine: 1966 327, forged crank, Crower 5.7" rods, Arias pistons with skinny rings, BBC diameter full floating pins, World Products S/R 73cc heads, stainless valves, steel retainers, 1.5 roller rockers, Comp Cams XE 268H flat tappet hydraulic cam installed straight up, dual roller t-chain, BBC std volume oil pump, Milodon pn 30401 6 quart pan, windage tray, Mallory Unilite distributor, MSD 6AL, Weiand 142 supercharger, 750 vacuum secondary.
Fuel delivery: Aeromotive Stealth replacement powder coated tank with EFI style Stealth 340 internal pump, by-pass style fuel log, Aeromotive regulator (in return line), AN -08 braided hose throughout.
Cooling: Griffin radiator in 6 cyl position, pn 6-855AG-AAX 2 core, 1.5" tubes. Summit water pump pn 311016 aluminum hi volume long style. Lower hose Dayco pn 70558. Upper hose Gates pn 20767 (trimmed to fit).
Exhaust: 2.5" Rams horns aftermarket pn MAO35 RAW -no alternator mounting bosses, Magnaflow pn 12256 (body length 18", shorter than most) 2.5" center inlet/2.5" side outlet reversible 5" x 8" oval stainless mufflers, local shop fabbed plain steel headpipes and tailpipes. Balance tube (H pipe) installed under flywheel area.
Trans: TH 200-4R, hardened sun gear shell, HD input drum, heat treated stator support, HD 1-2 band, 12" TCI Breakaway pn 242500 lockup converter 2200-2400 stall. Trans cooler B&M pn 70266.
Rear axle: Freshened 2000 Explorer 8.8 3.73 factory disc brakes, traction-lok, with axle tubes and axles flipped side to side.

Brakes and suspension: Heidt's 2" drop front spindles with big Chevelle 11" disc brakes. Factory rear discs (Explorer). Manual dual master cylinder Raybestos MC36367 1" bore, proportioning valve is pn 22-234C2A from East Coast Chevy Ol' 55. Front sway bar Hotchkis pn 22105F 1 3/8" diameter. Yes the tire sidewalls rub the sway bar, but we needed a mean sway bar. 5 leaf rear springs, 900 lb, 2" drop (rear spring eye reversed). Williams Chassis Works traction bars, single adjustable. USA made Viking Performance B series double adjustable shocks front and rear. Manual steering, original column and shift.
The spare wheel is a 15x6.0x4.00" backspacing Rallye style wheel from Wheel Vintiques 30 series. Spare tire is a 6.70x15 Firestone clone pie crust whitewall. This combo fits snugly in the factory spare tire well.
