I took delivery of my first trifive in October of 1956. It was a 57 2 door post BelAire V8 Power Glide. India Ivory over Inca Silver. Interior was Matador red with red and black upholstery. I traded a 1954 Chevy BelAir 4 door for it.

Total price including financing was $2800.00.

The next to last pic is what my "New" 57 will look like - eventually.

So far.....

Bought tons of parts

Replaced missing air inlet tubes
Replaced spare tire well
Replaced std shift column with auto shift column
Refurbished Instrument cluster
Rebuilt Turn signal asm including new switch and wiring
Repainted Instrument cluster, dash, steering wheel, and associated parts
Removed heating plenum, cleaned out mouse nest, painted and reinstalled.
New water pump
Installed script valve covers
Installed oil bath air cleaner
Removed front fenders, hood, bumper and grill in prep for paint
Removed rear bumper and tail lights.
Removed gas tank
Removed all glass
Repaired "C" posts
Temporary fix on alternator wiring
Replaced American racing wheels with original 14" wheels w/wide white walls
Started repairs of tail pan, Tail pan brace and rear trunk floor
