Pictures of my 57 when I first got it and how I modified it into my "period correct" high school dream car from 1962. It was a bone stock, matching numbers car with 58,000 actual miles when I got it 4 years ago. This car is now very similar to the 55 Belair convertible and 57 Belair 2dr that I actually drove to high school in 1962. Of course this new ride is improved where possible with things like a 5-speed TKO 600 and front disc brakes, radial tires and swaybar. My goal is to get the car to drive and handle like a "new" car, but with no cutting or welding anywhere! I save all the original parts so someone can re-restore it to stock if they wanted to. I added an advertising picture from Chevrolet in 1957. As you can see their ad car is lowered 4" in the front like mine!

I really like what you've done. My wagon is the same color and trim - seeing yours makes me want to hurry up and get the rest done. Looks great - best oem color combo IMHO.

Wanted to tell you how great your car looks! I have its twin in Sunny CA. When I first saw this picture, I could have sworn it was my car and figured someone snapped a pic of it somewhere. I have just joined the forum so will post a pic of my car later. Great ride!
