I've owned my 55 since 8-12-1999. I installed an LT1 in May 2010 that was donated from a 1992 Corvette. I'm running a 700R4 with a shift kit, 2500 stall with a B&M Hammer shifter. The rear end is out of a first generation Camaro, 12 bolt with 456 gears. Drive line is comprised of 1350 "U" joints with a 3" tube. Front seat is from a 1969 Chevelle. Battery is in the truck on the passenger side. New items include 3/8" fuel lines (inside frame), EFI fuel tank, Doug's Tri Y headers, CPP 605 power steering box and polyurethane mounts (motor & trans). New wheels compliments of Summit Racing 15x10's in the rear and 15x7's in the front. Running BFG 275-50-15 Drag Radials on the rear and 275-40-15 on the front. Power brakes, 12" discs in front with a 7" dual power booster and drums rear. Steering column is Flamming River tilt. Cooling is a Be Cool cross flow aluminum radiator with 2 12" pushing electric fans. Air intake pulls from 2 K&N filters routed just behind the grill with a Corvette polished dual intake tube and chrome tubing. Updated the dash with custom trim...and on, and on, and on...
