My retirement project

The 57 has always been on my top 5 list.
My dad had one he bought new, turquoise and white, 2 door hardtop with the powerpac option.
My brother and I had a 2 door Biscayne in high school.
I purchased mine in 1985, and after 27 years of storage the process started.
Originally I intended to restore it exactly like Dads but after years of planning and the evolution of the LS motor, things changed.
I wanted a new Camaro drivetrain with a stock 57 body and a slight 70's muscle car appearance.

This is my build

Engine and transmission:
L92 engine with VVT and 6L80 trans from a 2009 Cadillac Escalade.
Vintage-Air polished front runner. LS3 intake. Headers.
Speartech, harness, MAF and tube, flashed ECM & TCM, tap shifter and great support. And a Griffin radiator

Chassis:
Stock frame, Heidts 4-link, 9" rearend, rack and pinion steering, 4 wheel disc brakes, coil over shocks, plan on using 17" Cragar SS to clear brakes.

Body:
Factory paint from the tag (Colonial cream bottom-onyx black top)
I've only seen pictures a time or two but the more I thought about it the more I liked it.
All new factory trim and bumpers, might upgrade the lighting

Interior:
High tech with all the modern conveniences.
All black and yellow, using electric buckets from a 2004 GTO.
Dakota VHX gauges (got to have analog look)
Electric windows, Vintage air, Speartech tap shifter, Ididit tilt.
15" stock steering wheel, Painless wiring and center console.
Will use all factory interior trim.
