Belair 2-Door Hardtop
Hello All,
I joined Trifive in January 2008. This place is great! The information available is tremendous and the people are polite and generous. I wish I had this site during my build from 2000 to 2005. Allot, well some "Do-Overs" could have been!! Please feel free to ask any questions I'd be more than happy to help where I can. I'm sure I'll still need to learn alot.
Listed are the details of my build in case you are looking for similar information / modifications.

Includes New-Old-Stock (NOS) Front Fenders, Two New Door Skins, All Stainless Steel Trim, Interior and Exterior, removed, professionally straightened and polished to show quality. All New front, rear and side tinted glass with rechromed side glass frames (6). All new glass channels, front regulators and whisker strips. All new emblems, crests, scripts, hood bird, antenna and rear view side mirrors. All new Stainless Steel Grille and Grille mouldings. All new Front and Rear Chrome Bumpers. All new body mounts. All fasteners new and Stainless Steel. All new weather stripping all around. All new light lenses and housings & chrome bezels. New LED rear brake, LED turn and LED reverse lights and chrome bezels. New front halogen headlights and chrome bezels.

Body stripped, straightened, previous new panels realigned and welded properly. Epoxy primed and new base coat / clear coat paint. Colors match original colors however Yellow and White are intentionally brighter than original for more of a “hot rod” look. Cowl Tag colors show original car having two-tone paint of Harvest Gold and India Ivory with Interior of Neptune Green and Ivory Straw Cloth. Two tone 1973 Chevy Yellow and Chevy White.

Slightly modified original frame, removed rear engine mounts and rear leaf spring mounts. Frame removed from body, sandblasted, epoxy primed and painted with Eastwoods Chassis Black Paint. Recorded original VIN Number on top of frame.
Front End:
New Polished Stainless Steel Upper and Lower Tubular A-Arms, Heidt’s Two Inch Dropped Spindles, Power GM Rack and Pinion Steering, Air Ride Technologies ShockWave 3.0 Air Suspension controlled by 4-Way Ride Pro-e Computer, Power 4-Wheel Wilwood Disc Brakes with all new Stainless Steel Brake Lines from Classic Tube and CPP 9 inch Power Booster, Wilwood 12.5 inch gas slotted and cross drilled Zinc Plated Rotors with Polished Wilwood 4-Piston Calipers and Braided Stainless Steel Brake Lines.
Rear End:
Triangulated 4-Link Rear Stainless Steel Suspension from Air Ride Technologies. Air Ride Technologies ShockWave 9001 Air Suspension controlled by 4-Way Ride Pro-e Computer, Power 4-Wheel Wilwood Disc Brakes with all new Stainless Steel Brake Lines from Classic Tube and CPP 9 inch Power Booster, Wilwood 12.5 inch gas slotted and cross drilled Zinc Plated Rotors with Polished Wilwood 4-Piston Calipers and Braided Stainless Steel Brake Lines. Ford 9 Inch Street Plus Rear with 3:70 Gears, 1330 Yoke by Dutchman, Narrowed (-2 inches), Rear Housing with 31 Spline Dutchman Alloy Axles by Dutchman Motorsports Inc.
TSM Mfg. Co., Inc. Drive Shaft Parking Brake. Brake is a Pinion Mounted Parking Brake for a Ford 9 Inch Rear End.
Not Tubbed, No Wheelie Bars.

Boyd Coddington - Fury – Polished Aluminum Wheels. 17 x 7 Fronts and 18 x 9 Rears. Falken Ziex ZE512 Tires P225/50/17 Fronts and P255/45/18 Rears.

Gauges & Miscellaneous:
Classic Instruments Custom “One of A Kind” Gauge Cluster and Clock. First one produced of this new 1955 – 1956 Chevy Gauge Cluster Style. Repainted Dash, New Dash Trim, Bezel’s and Billet Specialties Knobs. New Polished Flaming River Tilt Steering Column and Barry Grant Leather Steering Wheel. All new wiring harness by American Autowire - Factory Fit. Lokar Pedals and Hurst shifter. All Heating/Air controls and ducts refurbished to new. Sound deadening by B-Quiet and Heat Shield by J.C. Whitney.
Upholstery & Carpeting:
All New Stock/Original Style (matching Cowl Tag color as indicated). Purchased from Cars Inc. Including Door Panels, Headliner, Seat Covers, Seat Foam Cushions and Carpeting. Billet Specialties Custom window cranks. New Headliner with rechromed Headliner Bows (3). All Stainless Steel Trim removed and polished to show quality.
Custom Trunk:
Custom Trunk with matching carpeting and interior colors. Including Custom Panel with CNC Machined Plexy Glass window with embossed “Chevrolet” Script. Window shows all Air Ride Controls, Billet Optima Battery hold down & Arc Audio 8” Subwoofer. Custom underside trunk lid cover. Plexy Glass is lighted with LED Lights.
Stereo System Components:
Custom Autosound Stock Looking AM-FM Stereo with 6-Disc CD Changer in trunk with Arc Audio power amplifier. Four MB Quart speakers (2- DKF 169 – 6”x9” & 2 – RUA 213 – 5”) plus two MB Quart Tweaters mounted in new front dual kick panels and Custom rear package tray. Arc Audio 8” Subwoofer mounted in Custom Trunk area.

All new components on a 1978 Chevy 350 Block. Block magnafluxed and Main journals bored. Block bored .30 over with 400 steel crank, balanced and checked mains, making a 383 Stroker Engine. Estimated 410 horsepower.
Demon 650 CFM Carburetor.
Edlebrock Air Gap Intake Manifold.
World - Sportsman II Heads.
Keith Black Pistons.
Lunati Cam, springs, lifters and rods. Roller rockers. All new internals.
Billet Specialties Triangular Air Cleaner with K&N Air Filter.

Doug Thorley Tri-Y Ceramic Coated Headers and 2 ½ Inch Stainless Steel Exhaust with “X” pipe from Mandreal Bending Solutions. All Exhaust Jet Hotted.
Borla, XR1 Sportsman, Mufflers.
Tremec Five Speed Transmission with Overdrive gear, Top mount shifter internal linkage.
Hydraulic Clutch System with McLeod Hydraulic release Bearing and Wilwood Aluminum Master Cylinder with ¾” Bore
Powder Coated Hood Hinges and latch mechanism.
Engine Compartment highly detailed.

Additional Notes

All fasteners are new Stainless Steel.
Numerous Powder Coated Brackets, Braces, Inner Fenders, Splash Pans, Hood Latches and Hinges, etc…
