Early in my career I worked in a small auto repair shop in farm country in California. The farmers used a lot of these older vehicles. They would use and abuse them, drive them till they dropped, and then abandon them in a field somewhere. I always thought it was a shame. Now forty years later I have one of my own to restore. I live in Colorado now and I looked for the right truck in Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and California. I found this one only nine miles from my house. I had to tow it home cause it wasn't running but after about 2 hours of work, I got it started. It actually ran really good, so for now I'm keeping this original straight six. I'm not going to get crazy with it, just clean it up and make a nice weekend driver.
