Wow, Stan, that looks like a car in the full-color "New Motoramic Chevrolet" theater ads on You Tube from 1954. If you have not seen them, just Google "motoramic chevrolet"

Frank Botte told me how to use the original capillary. 1955 V8s enter the temp sensor at the rear of the intake manifold. Frank said just drill and thread a hole in the left rear waterjacket area of the intake manifold. Thats what I did on my Edelbrock RPM manifold and it works great. I just had to grind the reinforcement "wall" slightly to be able to thread in the pipe nipple.

thanks,but my 55 is a original 6 cylinder.i use after market gauges cause i want to be sureeverything is ok. thanks for the reply(i just found out about your reply by clicking on to my home page)learn something new every day
