General Information

Year
1957
Make
Chevrolet
Model
BelAir 2dr Sport Coupe
I got this as an incomplete Project in Easter 2007. I have totally restored this car, as it is numbers matching and has some interesting dealer fitted optional extras, such as HydraVac power brakes fittted to an PowerGlide V8 it also has Power Pac exhausts on a 2bbl engined chassis.
Original color was code 808D Imperial Ivory over Inca Silver, it has code 670 upholstery black and silver.
It is a Van Nuys build in late August '57.
Her name is Doris.

We have also added Trev, a 57 BelAir 4dr HardTop, which was bought as a driver type car, very good condition, ex Arizona.
Original paint code was 808D, Imperial Ivory over Inca Silver, it is now painted code 809D Larkspur Blue over Harbor Blue. It has a power pack 4BC engine, it originally ran a TurboGlide trans, but now runs a TH350.

Nice looks ride there, Thumper! Can't wit to see the final thing. And I'm not far behind you – the Shafer exhaust you put me onto went on, with a few mods to the r/h downpipe, a few weeks back. And btw, thanks for your help along the way. Did you get your overriders?

Rod, I am glad we are not in the same neighbourhood as you would never get rid of me. I would basically become the NEW FACTOURY ACCESSORIE. Although maybe it would help get mine on the road. This 57 is a real credit to you and all the effort you have put into Doris. This baby needs to hit the car show circut and then clear out the trophy cabinet and watch it soon get filled!!!! Best wishes, Original Pete.

Both of your cars are amazing, I am restoring a 57 4 door Hardtop the original color was inca silver and white so seeing your two door was nice. I must say though your four door is what I dream my car will one day look like. Thanks Ken

Doris is a beauty. Love that Inca silver, although I like them with red interior the black/silver really blends nice. Excellent job with it, that's a lot of work and I would know. That Hydravac brake system is super rare.Very nice 4dr HT too, my dad is really fond of them he had a few of them in his younger days; I showed him your wife's car and he likes it, so cool.
