Just passed my 10 year anniversary with the best wife in the world!

We used to go crazy with gifts, getting each other $300-500 gifts, then one day, realized that it was silly, and we limited our gifts to $50 a pop. Even better, were the home made gifts. For this anniversary (tin/aluminum), I decided to make my gift. After searching the interwebs, I found a nice writeup on instructables for aluminum roses. Here's what I made:

1. Drink beer from cans (not pictured)

2. Cut ends of cans off:

3. With a wire wheel, take the paint off:

4. Cut that piece in two:

5. With each half, cut a spiral pattern, and poke a hole in the middle:

6. From the end, twirl around some needle nose pliers:

7. Cut a piece of hanger (strip if painted):

8. Mount (I hooked the top and made an S on the bottom):

9. Make a few more, and all done!

The best news is she loved them!
