Is there polarity for the dome light hook up? I have the orange wire and white wire. On the lamp holder there is a dimple by one of the pin sockets.Which wire goes in each pin socket? Thanks for your help and time. Jim

The middle pin of the base is positive (its usually spring loaded), the housing is negative.

If you turn the globe unside down the middle pin touches the positive, the outer casing of the bulb is negative.

The orange wire is the 12V, and the white is the ground from the door switches and headlight reostat. The bulb housing is not grounded by the white wire. It goes to one of the pins only, the orange to the other pin. Don't think polarity is necessary.

Correct, it doesn't matter which way the wires are plugged into the bulb socket.
