There is a car I saw in a book a few days ago and it had the 1957 front clip with a different body in the rear. The front clip was missing the 1957 grille bar (with the turn signals and flag). The fins were taller, and it almost looked like a Buick from the rear.

I am hoping somebody knows what I am talking about. I am unsure if it was Chevrolet. I know it was a GM of some sort because it was THE 1957 grille surround in the front. It was a supposed limited production of ~1500 cars or so, available to GM employees and it never went into full production.

Hi Viper :) thanks for the vote of confidence :)
Maybe a concept design and like you said never made it to full production. Although if they made 1500 they were tooled up for it.
Some were sent to couch builders to add or take away certain reveals But it would be interesting to see the add or the publication it was in. :)
