A buddy of mine put factory air and dual quads on his '57.....However, there was no room for the batwing.....So he had to use two small air cleaners.....I don't believe the general ever did this.

I'd have to agree that it wasn't offered. I have an A/C car that I converted to factory dual quads and researched this too. The compressor mounts right where the oil fill tube on the dual quad manifold is, as it is switched from a 4 brl manifold. I heard it has been retrofitted, but took massive amounts of fabrication to get it to work.
