I have been reading up on installing my 3 point seat belts in my 55 4dr wagon. I have the top figured out, but I am trying to decide if I want to mount the reel to the side of the B pillar or use a L bracket and mount it to the floor. Ive looked at how to's from Julianos and Retrobelt and they each suggest a different approach.

Any thoughts on that?

I have a two door sdn. and I plan to mount the ratchet down behind the panel inside below the window regulator. Exit out of a slot up to the post point.

Mine is a '56 210 4 door, basically the same as the OP. I mounted the front retractors to the floor using the angle bracket and the supplied backup plate. It is out of the way of the seat shells and puts the shoulder belt in line with the upper loop that is welded into the upper post.
