I have a 327 with a 268H Comp cam that hesitate when you stomp on it . I have
put on two rodchester carbs, same thing. The boster pumps puts out plenty
of gas. The vacuum advance checked out fine with a timeing light.
Would this cam require a different carburtor or do I have two bad carbs?
The motor runs great after you get past that spot.

I have the same motor and cam in my 67 Biscayne and it will light the tires. The only difference is that mine has a holley 750 on it and it was doing the same thing. I put a larger squirter on it, and the problem was solved What is your initial timing set at? Keith

you have a typical q jet problem of the secondarys opening up to quick . causing a hessitation. I would suggest tightening the secondary air valve spring about 1/4 turn at a time till the hessitation goes away . there is a book available on qjet tuning. I would get it . it is very helpfull and can explain in detail what I have just advised . good luck :party0031::party0031:

like they said, look on the back left top corner an there is a tiny countersunk screw going sideways that a plain pocket screwdriver fits.you feel underneath it an get a small allen wrench to loosen so you can turn the screwdriver screw so that the back flaps are tighter an hard to open by pressing down with your finger.that is the best i can describe it ,good luck
