I was talking to a guy at a car show saturday. He said he had a 55 150 series four door sedan in his shop that he's going to restore. He said it was FACTORY without a rear seat! :confused0006: I've seen the two door sedans without backseat but never a four door sedan. Is this true? He also spoke of cigarette lighter delete. This I have not seen either and would love to see some pics of these items mentioned. I've owned alot of 55 four doors but never a 150, so I did'nt argue. :confused0006:

Check a post from 57BUDDii from two yeares ago where he was asking for help in determining if his 150 4 door was a Utility Sedan, I don't think he has been able to confirm that it was for sure. My bet is that back in the day you could special order the car that way.

David
Mike (57 Sedan Delivery) and I talked about this 150 4-door Sedan, rear seat delete car before. I think it's very possible the car came this way from the factory.

There was some talk about this awhile back I thought somewhere on here. Both the 4 door 150 and lighter delete. The lighter delete was confirmed. Don't know about the seat delete.
If I understand this comment correctly, no car came with a lighter. (Well the BelAirs probably did)
But 210 & 150s you had to order a lighter to get one. Just like an outside rearview mirror. Or radio. Or compass.

Hayfrod,

David aka "Wedwagon" sent me a pm about your post. I am excited to pick up a fresh scent on the search for info on 4dr delete back seat cars. If you have the guy with the 55 4dr delete back seat contact info, I would really like to contact him and compare notes. Thanks for posting!

Ah SHUCKS, or should I say Ah O'Reilly's!

No worries, I hope to meet an owner of a 4dr utility sedan someday.

I wish I could have purchased the one on ebay a year or so ago.
