I am interested in putting a manual trans back in my 55. It has a manual column in it now with the 'glide hooked to the 2nd and high side. This column is too worn out to use for the manual tho. If you have a good non worn out one you need unload gimmie a shout.

Are you sure it is worn out? The reason I ask is the manual column is designed to be looser so you can shift through all the gears. On the other had the automatic is designed to move very little. If you have an automatic hooked to the one (loose) arm it will appear to be worn out. When in fact it may not be. Don't replace what is not worn out.
