Alright check your liftgate hinge covers. I've parted out a three wagons and they all had plastic covers. The latest one I pulled in has steel covers. Is that something odd or were the plastic covers odd? The plastic ones seemed to be very cheaply made and looked like they would crack easily. Is there a liftgate hinge cover expert in the house?

I have a 55 wagon with steel covers, I have parted two wagons (both 57) and they had steel covers. A friend has two 56 wagons and both have steel covers. I have seen the plastic covers for sale but never on a car. I suspect they may be from a Pontiac since the side shells on the Pontiac front seats are also plastic but that may not be so. Could be a specific assembly plant used them.
