Hello Guys

I'm putting a complete roof skin on my 55 HT. I'm wanting to panel bond the gutter seams and was wondering if anyone has done this. Did you have good luck doing it.

Going to spot weld the front and rear windows channels.

Thanks darrin

Do you have a true skin and you're going to bond it to the original drip rails, which are also the interior supports? If so you should be able to.

If you are goingn to have a lap joint above the drip rail, then maybe not.

yes i have a new skin. I have removed the old roof skin down to the drip rail and removed the 2000 pinch welds. The new skin lays in the drip rail. Bonding there. Just going to glue and clamp. Then spot weld the front and rear.

thanks darrin

Yes you can bond it in fact the only weld you wil need is on the four corners. Just make sure the bonding area is ground clean on both bonding surfaces. I use the Norton Speed grip series which comes in different working time levels. If done correctly the skin will be there permenately. Tim
