This might sound sacreligeous, has any one considered shortening the roof on a 55 sedan? I just owned a 53 Coupe, and I loved the short roof and long trunk compared to a 53 sedan which has a longer roof and stubby trunk. I'd have to consider cutting the roof right behind the B pillar, the whole rear window frame including the shelf behind the rear seat. Then scooting the roof ahead about 6". If the roof is relatively level right behind the B pillar, it might work. I'm sure I'll stare at the roofline for years, but just wondering if anyone has ever heard of someone pulling this off. The hardtops have a shorter roof, just thinking out loud.
