Asking 14K what do you guys think. Price wise.No power options , base car never hit stright body :confused0006:

If it's all there and solid, I think that's a steal. Just 3 years ago you couldn't buy a rough PROJECT Nomad for under 15-20K.

Just three years ago I could afford the $20k.
Today every thing is down so look around before you jump.

does it run? i think that affects the price a lot. you described a 10k nomad in todays market. if it runs and drives, then its a driving project, could be worth up to 18k. im seeing a lot of nomads on craigslist in the 20-25k range, driver quality cars, with decent paint and interior. although nomads are "rare" its still somewhat of a buyers market in my opinion.
one other thing, next time you see the car, i would investigate further on the tailgate, and around the roof for rust, since they dont make replacement panels in those areas. also, does he have the eyebrows and side spears? whether you would want to use them or not, they are worth 1500-2500. make sure all the nomad specific pieces are there, trim around the glass, cargo area stainless. personally i wouldnt pay 14k for a 55 nomad if the eyebrows and side spears werent there, thats just me tho. keep us posted on what you find out. :anim_25:
Nomads are really cool.....and rare.
LOVE THE 55 NOMADS

I'd offer $12,xxx but $14,xxx doesn't sound out of line if the parts are all there... Later, Dave
Sounds good to me but a good pic says a thousand words.....:)
You really need to have a good look over in person
Just do it! Cool cars and it will go with your 55 Vette perfectly!
Well I met the guys price but he's one of those people that likes to lead people on with talk but never sells the car Been there before with other Corvette people , all BS and likes to see people keep coming over and bag.
So I gave up on it.:vollkommenauf:

check the floors, underneath braces, rockers, front bottom firewall cowl as well as the doors for bondo which might equate to rust repair..all of this stuff is available but expensive to replace. how is the interior chrome ,headliner bows there dash and on and on..just like your vette all those little pieces add up and will make it much harder/longer to complete and drive.
if its a driver you want and its all there the price may not be that bad, but if you want to restore it well thats another story. we have all been down that road before. looking on ebay, nomads as well as vettes are way down at the moment .
my advice to you is for you to decide what you will want to do with the car and buy the most/best complete car you can afford...theres a lot to choose from. just my 2 cents
regards, aero
ps just see you passed on it..there are more fish in the sea.
I have been helping a friend look for a 56 Nomad. His budget is 23K max. He is looking for a sound driver that may need work in the furure, of course the nicer the better. Everything we have found to look at had either been hacked up and covered up or way too much work for the dollars. That seems like a darn good price. Being in front of the car makes it an easier decision as to the value. Hard to tell too much through the computer.

Best of luck

If you don't buy it I will :D

Almost can't go wrong unless it's a rust bucket.
